Provide clean collection vessel for coolant.
1 Pinch off coolant hose (1) from engine to heater heat exchanger as per the graphic.
2 Sever coolant hose and in the process collect coolant which escapes.

3 Fit prefabricated feed hose (2) and return hose (3) to the feed connection (warm) and return connection (cold) of the water heater with one hose clamp each.
Connect the straight end of the feed hose to the water heater.

4 Connect feed hose (2) at the separation point to the heater heat exchanger with a connecting sleeve and two hose clamps.
5 Connect return hose (3) at the separation point to the engine with a connecting sleeve and two hose clamps.
6 Tighten hose clamps on water heater.
Pay attention to chafe-free hose routing. Tie up hoses and attach chafe protection if necessary.
