Potential risks
Risk of explosion
caused by liquefied petroleum gas escaping from a leaky liquefied petroleum gas system in enclosed areas and heating while fueling.
Risk of poisoning
The combustion gases generated during combustion in the heater can cause symptoms of poisoning during operation of the air heater in enclosed areas, e.g. halls or garages.
Safety instructions/precautions
Close off the gas cylinder valve if the vehicle is to remain in enclosed areas, e.g. in halls or garages, for longer periods of time.
The air heater must not be started or operated at filling stations or in the vicinity of tank systems because of the risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors.
For the purposes of the function test, the air heater must only be operated in areas with a suitable exhaust extraction system.
