AS00.00-B-0028-01A | Risk of injury to hands or eyes when working on hydraulic pressure reservoir systems caused by hydraulic fluid to specification 345.0 spraying out under pressure | Relieve the hydraulic pressure in the system's reservoir before starting the job on the system. Use gloves and safety glasses. | Danger! |
Possible risks
Risk of injuries
Loosening hydraulic lines and reservoirs under pressure without discharging the installations beforehand may cause injuries on skin and eyes by hydraulic oil under high pressure.
Protection measures/behavior rules
- When carrying out jobs in pressure accumulator installations with hydraulic oil as per specification 345.0, these are to be unpressurized.
- Use gloves and protection glasses.
- Keep hydraulic oil according to specification 345.0 only in containers suitable for this purpose.
First aid measures
- In case of inhaling: Provide abundant fresh air, in case of injuries, seek medical assistance.
- In case of skin contact: In a general way, hydraulic oil following specification 345.0 does not cause skin irritation, in case of symptoms complain, seek medical assistance.
- If hydraulic oil following specification 345.0 reaches the eyes, wash them with open eyelids, with running water during several minutes.
- After ingestion: Should the symptoms persist, seek medical help.
- In case of skin or eye injuries by means of a jet of hydraulic oil, seek medical help.
