Danger | Risk of death when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) | Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines.
Topical note | General information on handling vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system and/or lithium-ion battery and/or gaseous-fuel drive system
Notes on transportation sheeting
1 | Remove old foils | If installed.
| |||
Removal can be facilitated by heating.
2 | Clean vehicle | Buff wet vehicles until they are dry.
3 | Check surface of vehicle | Visible edges of the tape can remain (when performing a reapplication). These edges are removed during paintwork preparation at the sales centers (VPC) or dealerships.
Minor swelling during reapplication is insignificant. The new foil can be applied to these painted surfaces.
4 | Apply new transportation foil
The new transport foil is applied manually. |
