Store airbag unit with expulsion area on top, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C.
Interrupt power supply when working on such units

Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures above 100 °C. Interrupt the current supply and disconnect airbag test connector/connector (AB) with emergency tensioning retractor (X11/13) when working on these units

Using the deployment device
1 Insert 2-pin plug coupling (8) at unit to be scrapped.
2 Dial the rotary switch (4) to position "1".
3 Press the battery control pressure switch (2) and deployment pressure switch (3) simultaneously.
Keep a distance of 10 m for safety.
After a successful deployment, the deployment indicator lamp (5) flashes.
