Danger! | Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater | Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves.
| Disconnect electrical connector from heater | The voltage supply to the heater must not be interrupted during heating or in the run-on phase.
| Remove upper housing shell
| Remove control unit (2) from heater | Only lift the control unit (2) as far as is necessary in order to disconnect the electrical connector for the combination overheating/flame sensor (3).
| Disconnect electrical connector for combination overheating/flame sensor (3) at the control unit (2)
| Release mounting bracket (9) and remove combination overheating/flame sensor (5)
| Install | ||
| Position special tool (6) on combination overheating/flame (5) sensor | The special tool (6) is included in the scope of delivery of the combination overheating/flame sensor (5).
| Place combination overheating/flame sensor (5) with the special tool (6) on the heat exchanger (7) | To do this, slide the special tool (6) on the heat exchanger (7) until the combination overheating/flame sensor (5) rests against its installation location.
| Route wiring harness for combination overheating/flame sensor (8) along mounting bracket (9) to control unit (2)
| Lock mounting bracket (9) and detach the special tool (6) | It is imperative to check that the combination overheating/flame sensor (5) is sitting flat on the heat exchanger (7), as otherwise the function of the heater is no longer ensured.
| Connect electrical connector for combination overheating/flame sensor (3) at control unit (2)
| Install control unit (2)
| Connect electrical connector to heater
| Install upper housing shell
| Check heater for proper operation | See heater operating instructions. |
