1 | Connect A/C suction and recycling equipment to pressure-side testing and filling valve (3) and intake-side testing and filling valve (4) | Pay attention to the operating instructions of the A/C suction and recycling equipment. | |
2 | Remove protective cap over pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and protective caps over intake-side shutoff valves (5, 7) | ||
3 | Screw in pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and intake-side shutoff valves (5, 7) completely | Screwing in the pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and the intake-side shutoff valve (5) opens the pressure-side testing and filling valve (3) and the intake-side testing and filling valve (4). | |
4 | Extract refrigerant from refrigerant compressor (1) using A/C suction and recycling equipment for at least 30 minutes | Note the following: | |
5 | Open liftgate | ||
6 | Remove filling screw (10) | ||
7 | Fill missing quantity of oil into refrigerant compressor (1) | ||

Pour oil into refrigerant compressor (1) until the oil level is near the top of the inspection glass (9). | |||

9 | Evacuate refrigerant compressor (1) using A/C suction and recycling equipment | Evacuate refrigerant compressor (1) to maximum achievable vacuum, but for at least 30 minutes. | |
10 | Unscrew pressure-side shutoff valve (2) by 3 to 5 turns | ||
11 | Pour extracted quantity of refrigerant into system via pressure-side testing and filling valve (3) | Only the quantity noted down during extraction. | |
12 | Close valve of A/C suction and recycling equipment | ||
13 | Unscrew pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and intake-side shutoff valves (5, 7) completely | Unscrewing the pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and the intake-side shutoff valve (5) closes the pressure-side testing and filling valve (3) and the intake-side testing and filling valve (4). | |
14 | Attach protective cap over pressure-side shutoff valve (2) and protective caps over intake-side shutoff valves (5, 7) | ||
