Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof

Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.

Open roof hatch (6) on both sides

Remove edge protection strip (3)

Remove grab handle (10) above front passenger door

Remove grab handle (8) next to roof hatch (6)

 Only on vehicles with grab handle.

Remove sun visors (1)

Remove clips (4).



Remove bolt (2)

Remove center curtain rail (7)

Remove upper paneling (11) from A-pillar on passenger side

Vehicles with code (XV0) Global Cockpit

Detach door seal (10) in area of front headliner (5) on passenger side

Partially remove bracket on center curtain rail (7)

 Only when center curtain rail (7) is fastened with sheet metal screws.

Pry off front headliner (5) above passenger door and pull downward

 Until the screws (12) are accessible.



Unscrew bolts (12) and remove roof hatch (6)



Clean seal on roof hatch (6) and contact surface on cab

 Installation: Check seal for damage, if necessary replace roof hatch (6).

Install in the reverse order
