Cut adhesive bead (3) at body flange (2) back to a residual height of approx. 1 to 2 mm using a scraper.

Fully cut back residues of spacers (1) and adhesive bead (3) present in this area.

Remove cutting residues from body flange (2) with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

Repair paintwork damage at body flange (2).

 Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG: http://xentryportal.i.daimler.com

Apply primer in gluing area if glue residues are not present.

 Apply primer only after primer has dried.
Otherwise the strength of the adhesive connection can be impaired and proper adhesion of the adhesive material is not ensured.

 The primer is included in the repair kit.

After the primer has dried, glue new spacers (1) to body flange (2).
