| Remove/install | ||
1 | Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery. | ||
2 | Open rear pop-out window. | ||
3 | Remove cover (10). | For this purpose, remove retaining clips (9) | |
Installation: replace the retaining clips (9). | |||
4 | Move trim (8) to one side until hardtop control unit (1) can be accessed. | ||
5 | Remove retaining clips (5). | Installation: Replace retaining clips (5). | |
6 | Remove hardtop control unit (1). | For this purpose, unclip catch hook (6) and remove hardtop control unit (1) in direction of arrow. | |
Installation: Guide (4) must be inserted into cutout at bracket (7). | |||
7 | Disconnect electrical connectors (2). | Removal: Mark connector assignment. | |
Installation: Observe markings of the pin assignment. | |||
8 | Remove cable tie (3). | Installation: Use new cable tie (3). | |
9 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

10 | Put electronic component parts of the hardtop into operation. | For commissioning the electronic component parts of the hardtop, all doors and windows of the vehicle must be closed. Then, the vehicle must be locked and unlocked again using the transmitter key. | |
11 | Check electrical functions of hardtop. |
