Thoroughly clean high-voltage distributor (1) and power electronics control unit (N129/1).

 Ensure absolute cleanliness; no dirt particles or moisture must enter the components.
Otherwise the high voltage on-board electrical system may be damaged.

Remove strut (4).

Unclip coolant lines (2) on high-voltage distributor (1) and place to one side.

Unclip electrical line (3) on power electronics control unit (N129/1) and place to one side.

Unclip electrical wiring harness (7) on high-voltage distributor (1) and place to one side.

Remove bolts (5.1 to 5.6).

Disconnect PTC high-voltage heater booster electrical connector from high-voltage distributor (1).

Unscrew center nut (6).

 Unscrewing the center nut (6) removes the high-voltage distributor (1) from the power electronics control unit (N129/1).

Remove high-voltage distributor (1).

 Do not put electrical lines under tension.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 Helper required.

Protect all disconnected high-voltage connections with  protective covers against external influences.

Protect blades of high-voltage distributor (1) using  cover.

 Remove protective covers and  covers.

Clean contact and sealing surfaces on high-voltage distributor (1) and power electronics control unit (N129/1).

 Check for absolute cleanliness.
Otherwise the high voltage on-board electrical system may be damaged.

Install new seal (8).

Pull back bolts (5.1 to 5.6) from high-voltage distributor (1).

Position high-voltage distributor (1) on power electronics control unit (N129/1).

 It is positioned through an upper and a lower guide pin.

Slide high-voltage distributor (1) over guide pins onto power electronics control unit (N129/1).

Screw-on center nut (6) by 2 to 4 pitches by hand.

 Fit center nut (6) by hand, to ensure that thread operation is not damaged.

In the event of stiff operation



Unscrew center nut (6) again and check thread.

Fit bolts (5.1 bis 5.6) and tighten lightly by hand.

Tighten center nut (6)   .

Tighten bolts (5.1 to 5.6)   .

 The sequence of bolts (5.1 to 5.6) must be maintained when tightening.

Install strut (4)     .
