Remove/install

Switch off ignition.

Remove NOx sensor controller unit (1a) from bracket (3).


Always first remove NOx sensor controller unit (1a).
Electric line (4) can otherwise be damaged due to turning during removal of NOx sensor (1b).

 NOx sensor controller unit (1a) and NOx sensor (1b) form a unit and can only be removed together.

Disconnect electric line (5) at NOx sensor controller unit (1a).

Release electric line (4) from brackets.

Remove cover (6) upstream of NOx sensor (1b).

If installed.

Remove NOx sensor (1b).


Only place tool on hexagon.
NOx sensor (1b) can otherwise be destroyed as it is very sensitive.

 Installation: Coat thread at NOx sensor (1b) with paste.

Install in the reverse order.
