| Remove/install | ||
1 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (4). | ||
2 | Unclip NOx sensor control unit upstream of the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1.2) from the retaining tabs (arrows) and remove from the bracket (5). | ||
3 | Release electrical wiring harness (1.1) from the line bracket (2). | ||
4 | Remove NOx sensor upstream of the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1) and remove together with the NOx sensor control unit upstream of the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1.2). | ||

Installation: Coat thread on NOx sensor upstream of diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1) with heat-resistant lubricating paste. | |||

5 | Seal opening with suitable stop plug. | Record plug | |
6 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
7 | Connect diagnostic system and adjust software calibration number in the diesel injection system control unit. | If the NOx sensor upstream of the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1) is replaced with the NOx sensor control unit upstream of the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1.2). | |

8 | Read out and delete fault memory. | ||

9 | Perform an engine test run and check diesel oxidation catalytic converter (3) for leak tightness in the area of the NOx sensor upstream of diesel oxidation catalytic converter (1). |
