 	Remove/install
 Danger!	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

3	Remove diesel particulate filter	4MATIC ONLY	AR14.40-P-1000OMD
4	Unscrew union nut from pressure line upstream of diesel particulate filter (2)		*BA14.40-P-1001-01E
5	Loosen holder bolt (3) and unhook pressure line upstream of the diesel particulate filter (2)
6	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150CD
7	Disconnect electrical connector (10) of the differential pressure sensor DPF (B28/8) and unhook cable on air filter holder (11)		AR07.04-P-0012CD
8	Disconnect electrical connector (8, 9) and loosen cable from air filter holder (11)
9	Remove bolts (12) and air filter holder (11)
10	Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)		AR07.04-P-0080CD
11	Remove pipe clamp (4)	Model 204

		Model 212

12	Loosen nuts (5)
13	Unscrew nut (6)	Model 204
			*BA49.10-P-1027-01AC
		Model 212
			*BA49.10-P-1009-01AE
14	Lift catalytic converter (1) up and out	 Installation: Replace sealing ring between catalytic converter (1) and turbocharger.
15	Install in the reverse order
 Danger!	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16	Carry out an engine test run and test exhaust system for leaks
