1 | Remove fuel tank (1) | ||
2 | Disconnect electrical connector (2) | ||
3 | Unlock fuel line (3) and remove fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6) | ||
4 | Remove cable tie (5) and expose vent line (4) | ||
5 | Position claw wrench (6) on lock ring (7) | | |
6 | Turn lock ring (7) with claw wrench (6) counterclockwise and remove lock ring (7) | Turn lock ring (7) to stop counterclockwise. | |
Installation: Press lock ring (7) against spring force of fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6) downward and turn clockwise to stop. | |||

7 | Remove fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6) downward from opening in fuel tank (1) | Carefully lift fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6) upward and out. Reroute fuel hoses, electrical lines and float (9) for tank sensor. Do not damage detachable parts on fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6). | |
Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and sealing ring (8) Check fuel hoses, electrical lines and float (9) for fuel level sensor for damage, if necessary, replace fuel pump with fuel level sensor (M3/6). | |||
