Detach plug X3 from electrohydraulic auxiliary steering (EHZ) control unit and insert adapter from the  electrical connection kit.

Switch on ignition.

Release fixing bolts (1) on additional axle steering angle sensor (B97).

Measure steering angle sensor voltage at plug contact in contact cavity 12 of plug X3 against minus.  

 Use commercially available multimeter.
The supply voltage for the electrohydraulic auxiliary steering (EHZ) control unit is 5 V. If a different voltage source is used (maximum 5 V), the measurement value must be one half of the input voltage.

If the set value for the center position is not reached.



Turn housing of additional axle steering angle sensor (B97) far enough until the set value is reached.

Tighten fixing bolts (1).

Switch off ignition.

Remove adapter from electrohydraulic auxiliary steering (EHZ) control unit and connect plug X3.
