Remove bellows

 If the right-hand inner tie rod with axial joint (12b) is removed, the left-hand bellows must also be removed.

Toothed rack with open-end wrench attachment

Counterhold 24 mm (arrow) or corresponding open end wrench

 The surface for counterholding at the toothed rack is only located on the left-hand side.

Detach inner tie rod with axial joint (12a or 12b); to do this, use 36 mm or 38 mm open-end wrench attachment (012)

 Do not use force (hammer blows, excessive leverage) otherwise you may damage the steering gear.
