 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Hoist vehicle with lifting platform until wheels are free

Unscrew bolt (1) and remove steering damper (46) from drag link (11)



Pry drag link joints (11a) off steering gear pitman arm (12) and steering idler arm (26)

 Installation: Clean grease off the tapers and press drag link joints (11a) firmly into steering gear pitman arm (12) and steering idler arm (26).

Remove drag link (11)

 Check drag link joints (11a) for play and damaged rubber boots, replace drag link (11) if necessary.

 The left drag link joint (11a) is a pivot joint with a swivel range of max. 2 °. This prevents pivot movements of the drag link (11).

Install in the reverse order

Check toe-in at the front axle and adjust if necessary
