1 Turn the front wheels until the axle end touches the axle stop. In this position, the piston (6) is at the bottom of the steering gear.
Wheels turning orientation:
l Vehicle with steering wheel to the left - turn it to right (steering axle rotation (2) clockwise).
l Vehicle with steering wheel to the right - turn it to left (steering axle rotation (2) counter-clockwise).
2 Remove the screws (7) from the valve housing (1).
3 Turn the steering axle (2) using the manual steering wheel until the valve housing moves away from the steering gear (measure A, 10 mm)
The valve housing must be moved away from the steering gear only by turning the steering axle. If the valve housing is moved away more than 10 mm, the steering axle will come off the lower bearing at the steering gear. Do not further pull or push the valve housing.
Steering axle turning direction:
l Steering wheel to the left => turn it clockwise.
l Steering wheel to the right => turn it counterclockwise.
4 Remove the seal ring (3) from the valve housing (1).
Remove the seal ring through the valve housing carefully not to damage the sealing surfaces.

5 Apply masking tape to the edge of the valve housing.
The masking tape prevents the seal ring (3) from being damaged when passing through the valve housing casting edge during the installation.
6 Apply grease to the new seal ring (3) and put it through the valve housing, starting from the pressure limiting valve area.
When installing the seal ring observe the identification, the diameter and the part number on the masking sheet.
Stretch the ring only enough to pass it through the valve housing and carefully not to damage it during installation.
7 Remove the masking tape without leaving any residue on the valve housing.
8 Push the seal ring upward, in other words, so that the valve housing flange touches the case tab.
Do not damage or twist the seal ring.

9 Push the valve housing (1) downward with your hand and turn the steering axle (2) with the manual steering wheel until the valve housing (1) tab is supported by the steering gear.
Do not press the valve housing in the steering gear using excessive force (for instance: hammer).
Steering axle turning direction:
l Steering wheel to the left => turn it counterclockwise.
l Steering wheel to the right => turn it clockwise.
10 Install the new screws (7) and tighten them in cross style at the valve housing (1).
