"Disconnect/connect ground line on battery" removed

 

Remove/install

Turn ignition key to position "1".

 The fastening bolt (37m) can only be removed if the electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) is unlocked.

Remove left cover under the instrument panel

Turn the attachment pin (37m) to the recess and remove.

Guide electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) backwards out of jacket tube (71)

 Installation: Move electric steering lock control unit (N26/5) with surface (arrow) forwards into the jacket tube (71).

Unplug electrical connector (37p) at electric steering lock control unit (N26/5).

Install in the reverse order
