Danger! | Risk of injury due to touching the hot retarder surface or being scalded with hot retarder surface oil. Risk of injury to skin or eyes due to retarder oil spraying out under high pressure | Do not carry out any work unless retarder is switched off. Wear suitable protective clothing and safety glasses when working on the hot retarder surface | |
1 | Engine control/permanent brake operating lever on position "0" and switch off ignition | ||
2 | Remove circlip (2) | Installation: The arched side of the circlip must point towards the muffler. Check circlip, replace if necessary. | |
3 | Remove silencer (1) | Installation: Clean the muffler with pure benzine and blow out with compressed air. Replace the muffler if severe contamination is present. | |
4 | Install in the reverse order |
