1 | Disconnect the retarder and the ignition | ||
2 | Disconnect the electric cable (1) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury by contact with the hot retarder surface or burns by contact with the hot oil on such surface. Risk of injury of skin and eyes due to splattering of retarder oil under high pressure | Do not perform any services unless the retarder is switched off. Use protective clothing and goggles when working with the hot retarder surface. | |
3 | Remove the oil temperature sensor (2) from the retarder housing | | |
Collect the drainage oil if needed. | |||
Install: Replace the O-ring (3). | |||
4 | Install in reverse order |
