Remove

1

Remove wiper arms.

Remove cover (1) on driver's side.

Remove air/water duct.

Remove strut (2).



Check

Remove vacuum in BAS brake booster (A7/7) by depressing brake pedal several times.

Connect vacuum tester (030) with test connection (031) at BAS brake booster (A7/7).

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine and switch off once test pressure is reached.

 Reduce the excess test pressure by depressing the brake pedal.

Check check valve (17).

In the event of a problem,



Replace vacuum line (8) with check valve (17).

Disconnect vacuum tester (030) with test connection (031) from BAS brake booster (A7/7).

Install

Install support (2).

 Screw/bolt, lower strut to suspension strut tower mounting bracket

*BA62.30-P-1003-02K

 Screw/bolt, lower strut to firewall

*BA62.30-P-1004-02K

Install air/water duct.

Install cover (1) on driver's side.

Install wiper arms.
