| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
2 | Reduce vacuum in brake booster by depressing brake pedal several times. | ||
3 | Remove lower engine compartment paneling. | ||
4 | Detach vacuum line (1) from electric vacuum pump. | Seal connection on electric vacuum pump. | |

5 | Lower vehicle. | ||
6 | Remove vacuum line (1) from brake booster. | Seal opening on brake booster. | |
Installation: Check seal (3) for damage. | |||

If corresponding findings are present, | |||

Replace damaged seal (3). | |||
7 | Remove vacuum line (1). | To do so, remove vacuum line (1) from retaining clips (2) and remove upwards. | |
Installation: Check retaining clips (2) for damage. | |||
If corresponding findings are present, | |||
| |||
Replace damaged retaining clips (2). | |||
8 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

9 | Perform brake test on brake test stand. | ||
