1 | Remove noise damper downstream of charge air cooler. | ||
Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. | |||
2 | Disconnect vacuum line (3) from vacuum line (2) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs. | Record plug | |
3 | Remove vacuum line (2) from vacuum pump (1) and seal openings using suitable stop plugs. | Record plug | |
4 | Unclip vacuum line (2) from cable duct (8). | ||
5 | Unclip cable duct (8) in front area. | ||
6 | Unscrew screw/bolt (6). | ||
7 | Remove holder (7) and position with connected lines so that the vacuum pump (1) can be removed. | Screw/bolt, bracket to cylinder head cover | |
Bolt, vacuum pump to cylinder head/cylinder head cover | |||
8 | Remove electrical wiring harness (4) from holder (5) and place so that the vacuum pump (1) can be removed. | ||
9 | Remove screws (9) and vacuum pump (1). | Installation: Replace seal (10) and observe position of driver (1.1). | |

10 | Clean sealing surfaces on vacuum pump (1), cylinder head and cylinder head cover. | Assembly cleaner | |
11 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

12 | Carry out an engine test run and check in the area of vacuum pump (1) for leak tightness. |
