Electric parking brake (EFB) control unit

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Raise vehicle.

Unscrew cover cap (1).

Release parking brake

Pierce protective membrane at access opening of electric parking brake (EFB) control unit (A13).

Only when releasing the parking brake for the first time.

Turn release mechanism clockwise.

 The wheels must be able to turn freely to a sufficient extent.

Hexagon socket 5 mm



Install

Screw on cover cap (1).

Lower vehicle.

 As soon as the ignition key has been moved to position II, the parking brake is actuated again automatically.
