Remove metal plug
1 Pierce metal plug (1) in middle using a suitable tool and lever out of brake caliper hole.
Do not damage the seat of the metal plug (1), otherwise the fixed bearing may no longer be correctly sealed.
Install metal plug
2 Clean all grease from brake caliper hole (seat).
3 Push brake caliper toward brake carrier as far as possible.
The inner boots must be pressed together to prevent air pockets in the boots.
4 Clean metal plug holder of press-in tool (T26) and insert a new clean metal plug (1) into press-in tool (T26).
5 Place press-in tool (T26) with metal plug (1) on face of brake caliper hole and push on drift of press-in tool (T26) by hand as far as it will go.
6 Drive in metal plug (1) evenly as far as it will go by striking drift of press-in tool (T26) with a hammer.
Make sure that the metal plug (1) is not tilted or deformed when installed; replace if necessary.
