 Position the dial indicator holder (2) on the brake carrier (4).

 Attach the dial indicator (1) to the  dial indicator holder (2) in such a way that the dial indicator tip rests against the cast pocket (6) on the brake caliper (5).

Set scale of  dial indicator (1) to "0".

Press brake caliper (5) away from brake carrier (4) using a lever (3) and read off play of pilot bushing on  dial indicator (1).

 If the specified value is exceeded the brake caliper guide must be repaired.
