4 | Adjust the brake shoes for the front and rear axle, turn the bolt (4) clockwise until the wheels are locked; then, return 3 to 4 stages, allowing the wheel to run free | With the vehicle loaded, the jack must be positioned at the beam's end, on the leaf spring. | |
In the rear axle wheels, the parking brake must not be actuated and the wheels must turn free. | |||
5 | Check the play between the drum and the linings (2) | Universal feeler gauge. | |
6 | Lower the vehicle and perform a test drive | After concluding the adjustment, lower the vehicle and perform a test drive. When driving a short period without actuating the brake, the drums must not heat. |
