1 Brake caliper.

5 Hex head flange bolt (long version)

On the periodic maintenance and inspection services of the rear suspension, where the retightening of the spring "U" bolt nuts is required, proceed only with the pivoting of the brake caliper around the short guide-pin, fastened with the inner hex bolt (3), following the operations 4 to 7 moving aside the brake pads. | |||
Utilize a wooden wedge between the caliper and the support. | |||
| Remove and install | ||
1 | Remove the wheels. | ||
2 | Remove the brake pads. | ||
3 | Remove the brake cylinders. | With diaphragm cylinder. | |
With combination cylinder. | |||
4 | Remove the wear indicator (6). | Installing: Observe the correct positioning on the brake caliper and on the connector. | |
5 | Remove the long plug (4) | Fork for removing covers from the bolts. | |
Installing: Replace the long plug. | |||
Drift foe installing the bolt covers. | |||
6 | Remove the hex head flange bolt (long) (5) | Installing: Replace the flange bolt. | |

7 | Partially move aside the long guide-pin (9) | Utilize an auxiliary clip (10), to move it aside. | |
Installing: Make sure the guide-pin (long) fits correctly in the existing seat in the brake support, being careful not to damage the protection boot. | |||
8 | Remove the short plug (2) | Fork for removing covers from the bolts. | |
Installing: Replace the short plug. | |||
Drift foe installing the bolt covers. | |||
9 | Remove the short bolt with internal hex head (3) | Installing: Replace the bolt with internal hex head. | |

10 | Partially move aside the guide-pin (short) | Installing: Make sure the guide-pin (short) fits correctly in the existing seat in the brake support, being careful not to damage the protection boot. | |
11 | Remove the brake caliper (1) | ATTENTION: Grab the brake caliper only from the outside. Never place your fingers between the caliper and the brake support. | |
12 | Install in reverse order | Installing: Check making sure the retaining springs and the brake pads pressure plate are correctly seated in the retaining arc. |
