When workshop mode is activated, all automatic parking brake functions are switched off. The workshop mode makes it possible to release/actuate the parking brake in the usual way via the lever (3) of the electronic parking brake (1).

Switch on ignition.

Press and hold button (2).

Switch off ignition.
The workshop mode of the electronic parking brake (1) is activated and is indicated by a corresponding event message in the instrument cluster. The workshop mode is deactivated automatically, from a speed of 30 km/h.
