Installation | Replace self-locking nuts and bolts. | ||

1 | Secure vehicle against rolling | ||
2 | Secure front and rear propeller shaft (1, 2) to prevent them from falling down | ||
3 | Detach rear propeller shaft (2) from the rear axle | | |
4 | Detach rear propeller shaft (2) from front propeller shaft (1) and remove rear propeller shaft (2) | ||
5 | Unscrew bolts (7) from propeller shaft center support bearing | | |
6 | Detach front propeller shaft (1) from transmission and remove front propeller shaft (1) | | |
7 | Check joints and sliding pieces of front and rear propeller shaft (1, 2), repair or replace if necessary | ||
| Propeller shafts - check ball joints and sliding piece for play and wear | ||
After repair or replacement carried out or of necessity: | |||
Lubricate front or rear propeller shaft (1, 2) | |||
