1 Detach propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) and protective cap (if fitted) using puller and drift (drift = thrust piece).

2 Check protective cap (4) on propeller shaft and, replace if necessary.

If damaged, use punch to drive protective cap (4) off propeller shaft.
