1 Move the steering linkage into the center position.
The steering gear pitman arm and steering idler arm must be parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis
2 Press the wheels apart at the front using the spreader
Observe the specified spreading force.
3 Loosen the hose clamps (1) of the tie rod (2)
4 Adjust the toe-in of both wheels by turning the tie rod (2).
The divided tie rods mean that in must be ensured that the specified value of toe-in counts as the total value and consequently only half the value applies to each wheel as tolerance.
5 Tighten the hose clamps (1) of the tie rod (2) .
Use new nuts. Tighten the nuts only finger-tight first and carry out the final tightening with the torque wrench.
