Danger | Risk of death when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) | Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines.
Topical note | General information on handling vehicles with high-voltage on-board electrical system and/or lithium-ion battery and/or gaseous-fuel drive system
1 | Check condition of vehicle | The vehicle should be aligned and adjusted in the condition in which it is most frequently used.
The chassis alignment is performed in relation to the vehicle level.
2 | Check condition of tires | Visually check for wear pattern, tread depth and damage.
3 | Check condition of rims | Visual inspection for damage.
4 | Check tire inflation pressure | Values for tire inflation pressure in operator's manual or on information label in fuel filler flap. Correct tire inflation pressure, if necessary.
5 | Check vehicle underbody | Visual inspection for damage, corrosion of chassis parts and supporting body parts, leaks from components and lines.
6 | Check wheel bearing play | Check without dial indicator.
7 | Check condition of steering mechanism | Visual inspection.
8 | Check boot on steering linkage | Visual inspection. |
