Deactivate easy entry/exit

 The driver seat and steering wheel with otherwise move to a different position, e.g. if the driver door is opened/closed. Damage to the upper frame can occur when the  retainer (055) is installed.

Move steering wheel all the way up and all the way out

 The lever for steering wheel adjustment is under the steering wheel on the left.

This is necessary in order to install the retainer (055) correctly.

Fix steering wheel in center position

 Retainer (055)

Check center position of steering gear and steering wheel

Install wheel spreader (030)

Install wheel spreader (030) at the front on the inside of the wheel.

 The elastic bearings of the spring control arms, torque struts and steering linkage produce a correspondingly large toe measurement which decreases to the correct value under driving conditions.

Adjust toe

 To do this, loosen the two jam nuts (10f) and twist the tie rod (10) accordingly.
