Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Clean

Clean wheels

Only if required.

Mount centering sleeve

 Use recommended balancing machines, observe manufacturers' specifications.

Attach wheels on steady-state balancing machine

Balancing wheels

Check

Check wheels for imbalance

 Conduct a road test.

Balance wheels on vehicle

Only if imbalance is still present.

On vehicles with code (BW1) Omission of electronic brake and vehicle dynamics system, drive the rear wheels using the vehicle engine only.
Otherwise, the rear axle differential may be damaged.

 Use recommended balancing machines, observe manufacturers' specifications. The vehicle doors must be closed. With steel disk wheels, balance them with wheel trim.
