Remove the wheels

Remove the brake drum (10) from the wheel hub (3)

Remove the screws (13) and the wheel hub cap (12)

Unlock the locking plate (8) and remove the slotted nuts (7, 9)

Remove the thrust washer (6) and the inner race of the outer bearing (5)

Remove the wheel hub (3)

 The wheel hub can also be removed together with the brake drum.

 Puller

Remove the wheel bolts (4) from the wheel hub (3)

Should the wheel bolts replacement is required:



Use a mandrel made of soft material.

Remove the radial shaft sealing ring (2) and the inner tapered roller bearing from the wheel hub (3)



Check

Check the conditions of the friction surface of the race ring (1)

If there are damages or furrows on the race ring:



Replace the track ring.



Install

Install the inner bearing and the radial shaft sealing ring (2) on the wheel hub (3)

 Lubricate with lubricating grease the inner bearing and the lips of the radial shaft sealing ring.

 Use a new radial retainer.

Install the wheel fastening bolts (4)

 Only if replaced. Use a mandrel made of soft material.

Install the wheel hub (3)


Install with care:
To not damage the seal ring or the thread of the axle.

Lubricate with grease and install the outer bearing (5)

 Fill the wheel hub with grease.

Install the thrust washer (6)

Install the grooved nut (7), the locking plate (8) and the slotted nut (9)

Adjust the wheel hub end play (3)

Install the seal gasket (11), the wheel hub cap (12), and tighten the bolts (13)

 Fill the wheel hub cap with grease.

 Use a new gasket.
