1 Insert pressure washer (1) in upper part of differential housing (2) so that the grease groove points towards the axle shaft gear (4).
2 Insert axle shaft gear (4) in upper part of differential housing (2).

3 Insert differential spider (5) in upper part of differential housing (2).
4 Mount dial indicator (6) with holder (7) and extension (8) on upper part of differential housing (2).
5 Place feeler probe of dial indicator (6) with preload vertically on one tooth of the differential bevel (9).
6 Measure actual value of gear backlash by turning one of the differential pinions (9) to and fro.
7 If the actual value of the gear backlash lies outside the tolerance, the gear backlash must be adjusted by changing the pressure washer (1).
Gear backlash too large insert thicker pressure washer (1).
Gear backlash too small insert thinner pressure washer (1).
8 Repeat measurement and adjustment procedure if necessary.
