1 Mark installed positions of bearing bracket, tapered roller bearing outer races and shims.
The parts must be reinstalled in their original installation positions.
2 Remove both bearing brackets (16).

3 Attach spreader (01) and spread until the crown wheel with differential can be removed from the rear axle housing without the use of excessive force.
