Install lower rear axle side gear (4) in differential case with shim (3).

Install differential pinion (6) and spherical washer (5) on both pins (7).

Insert lower pin (7) with differential pinions (6) and spherical washers (5) into differential case.

Insert upper pin (7) with differential pinions (6) and spherical washers (5) into differential case.

 The recesses of the bolts (7) must engage in each other.

Fit upper rear axle side gear (4) with shim (3).

Fit cover (14) of differential case.

 The markings must match (same numbers opposite each other, see arrow).

Tighten screws/bolts (13) of cover (14) on differential case  .

 Insert drift (1) into upper rear axle side gear (4).

Fit torque wrench over drift (1).

Check friction torque (total friction moment) of differential and compare with specified value.

 The total friction moment can be changed by adjusting the thickness of the shims (3). The shims (3) are available in thicknesses from 1.30 mm to 2.00 mm in graduations of 0.05 mm.

If necessary, exchange shims (3) and measure total friction moment again.
