Detachment of tapered roller bearing

| Mount isolating blade (02) of puller (01) onto tapered roller bearing.
|
|
| Check isolating blade (02) is correctly mounted.
Incorrect installation will result in damage to the drive pinion.

| Mount puller (01) onto isolating blade (02).
|

| Detach tapered roller bearing from drive pinion.
|
Pressing on of tapered roller bearing

| Mount tapered roller bearing flush on drive pinion using suitable assembly sleeve.
|
|
| The sleeve may only touch the tapered roller bearing on the inner race.
Otherwise the tapered roller bearing will be damaged.
|
|
| Mount tapered roller bearing with 40 kn through a hydraulic press up to the end stop.
|

| Using a feeler gauge (thickness 0.05 mm), check that tapered roller bearing is lying flat against drive pinion.
|
The tapered roller bearing must be flush fitted to the drive pinion.
