| Remove | ||
1 | Remove brake carrier with brake caliper. | ||
2 | Remove anti-lock braking system (ABS) rpm sensor. | ||
3 | Remove cover (5). | ||
4 | Release collar nut (4). | ||
5 | Remove collar nut (4) and take off thrust plate (3). | Use commercially available socket wrench of size 105mm. | |
6 | Screw assembly sleeve onto kingpin (1). | Assembly sleeve | |
7 | Detach wheel hub (2) from axle spindle (1) over assembly sleeve. | ||
8 | Remove brake disk from wheel hub (2). | Only if wheel hub (2) or brake disk is replaced. | |
| Install | ||
9 | Attach brake disk to wheel hub (2). | Only if the brake disk has been removed. | |
Install new bolts and tighten in 2 stages in a crosswise pattern. | |||
Screw/bolt, brake disk to wheel hub (DNA) | |||
10 | Clean machined surface of axle spindle (1) thoroughly around entire circumference. | Using a wire brush and fine emery cloth. | |
11 | Coat cleaned surface of axle spindle (1) around entire circumference with multi-purpose paste. | Multi-purpose paste | |
12 | Slide wheel hub (2) over assembly sleeve onto axle spindle (1). | Assembly sleeve | |
13 | Remove assembly sleeve from axle spindle (1). | ||
14 | Attach new collar nut (4) with new thrust plate (3). | Tighten collar nut (4) manually by continuously turning wheel hub (2) far enough until wheel hub (2) is lying against axle spindle (1). Then tighten collar nut (4) and do not slacken again. | |

15 | Secure collar nut (4). | ||
16 | Clean sealing surfaces on wheel hub (2) and cap (5) and then coat with sealant. | Loctite 5900 | |
17 | Install cover (5). | Bolt, cover to wheel hub | |
18 | Install anti-lock braking system (ABS) rpm sensor. | ||
19 | Install brake carrier with brake caliper. |
