Removing and installing
1 Support the strut (1) from the eyelet adapter (3) on a press (4).
Support the eyelet adapter (3) on a suitable tool, so that it remains level.
2 Remove the clamping bush (2) using an appropriate device.
Clean the eyelet adapter housing (3), remove any existing burr, check for signs of corrosion or ovalization.
3 Install in reverse order
Apply a light petroleum jelly coat on the inside of the eyelet adapter housing (3).
