1 Unlock outer slotted nut (1) and unscrew with  claw-type wrench.

2 Remove locking plate (2).

3 Adjust wheel bearing play.

 The wheel bearing play can be altered by loosening or tightening the inner slotted nut (3) using a  claw-type wrench:
- If wheel bearing play is too small: slightly loosen inner slotted nut (3).
- If the wheel bearing play is too large: slightly tighten the inner slotted nut (3).

With new tapered roller bearings, the lower setting value should be the aim.

4 Install new locking plate (2).

5 Tighten outer slotted nut (1) using  claw-type wrench  .
