Checking
1 Screw in one bolt M181.5 (arrow) as far as the stop in the interwheel differential lock shift cylinder.
The interwheel differential lock is locked mechanically.
2 Measure the axial play between the tooth root of the engaged shift collar (1) and the tooth crest of the dog clutch (2) using a gauge.
3 If necessary, adjust axial play using adjusting washers.

Adjust
4 Remove differential lock cover.
5 Screw bolt (1) into the shift piston (2) and pull the shift piston (2) with adjusting washer (4).
6 Coat the cylinder liner (3) and the shift piston (2) with synthetic grease.
7 Install shift piston (2) with appropriate adjusting washer (4).
Reducing axial play: Insert thicker adjusting washer (4).
Increasing axial play: Insert thinner adjusting washer (4).
8 Attach differential lock cover with new gasket.
Install the new gasket with the raised bead towards the cover.
