1 Secure dial indicator holder (1) with dial indicator (2) and extension (3) to axle housing.
On the axle housing, clean the contact surface for the dial indicator holder (1).
2 Position measuring tip of dial indicator (2) on upper steering knuckle bearing with preload.
3 Raise and lower steering knuckle while reading off axial play on dial indicator (2).
If the specified value for the axial play is not reached, adjust the axial play of the steering knuckle by inserting an appropriate sliding block at the lower steering knuckle bearing.
