 Secure dial indicator (2) with  dial indicator holder (1) and  extension (3) to bell hub.

Mount dial indicator point on the drive shaft with approx. 1 mm preload and position dial indicator to zero.

Press against shim (4) and move drive shaft toward wheel hub and axle center alternately using an assembly lever (arrow) while reading off axial play of drive shaft from dial indicator.

 The axial play must be adjusted if there are deviations from the specified value.

Adjust axial play of drive shaft with appropriate shim (4).
