| Remove | ||
1 | Remove brake disk. | ||
2 | Remove collar nut (1) and take off pressure disk (2). | Socket wrench | |
3 | Screw assembly sleeve onto kingpin (5). | The assembly sleeve with end no. 03 from the removal/fitting tool is required. | |
Removal and installation tool | |||
4 | Remove wheel hub (3) from kingpin (5) over assembly sleeve. | ||
5 | Remove assembly sleeve from kingpin (5). | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Attach new ABS pulse ring (4) to wheel hub (3). | Only if a new wheel hub (3) is to be installed. | |
Drift | |||
7 | Thoroughly clean machined surfaces of kingpin (5) around entire circumference. | Use wire brush and fine-grained emery cloth for cleaning. | |
8 | Coat cleaned surface of kingpin (5) around entire circumference with lubricant. | Multi-purpose paste | |
9 | Screw assembly sleeve onto kingpin (5). | The assembly sleeve with end no. 03 from the removal/fitting tool is required. | |
Removal and installation tool | |||
10 | Slide wheel hub (3) over assembly sleeve onto kingpin (5). | ||
11 | Remove assembly sleeve from kingpin (5). | ||
12 | Fit new collar nut (1) with new pressure disk (2) on kingpin (5). | ||
13 | Attach collar nut (1) while constantly turning wheel hub (3) far enough until wheel hub (3) is lying against steering knuckle. | Socket wrench | |
14 | Tighten collar nut (1) to specified tightening torque and do not slacken again. | Collar nut, wheel hub to steering knuckle spindle | |

15 | Secure the collar nut (1). | ||
16 | Install brake disk. |
