1 Coat approx. 5 ml of sealing compound (arrow) over the entire circumference of the shoulder on the steering knuckle (4).
2 Position protective ring (6) in the steering knuckle (4) using the assembly tool (7) so that the guide pin (9) of the assembly tool (7) engages through the bore in the protective ring (6) into the bore (8) of the ABS sensor in the steering knuckle (4).
The bore in the protective ring (6) and the bore of the rpm sensor in the steering knuckle (4) must overlap otherwise the rpm sensor cannot be installed correctly and malfunctions of the ABS (ABS) or Electronic Stability Program (ESP) can occur.

3 Attach the removed nut (3) of the wheel hub to the axle stub and by tightening the protective ring (6) install until it abuts with the steering knuckle (4) using the assembly tool (7).
The nut (3) which has been removed must be used, as its self locking has reduced due to screwing on/removing and as a result can be tightened more easily.
4 Disassemble assembly tool (7), use puller if necessary.
5 Screw assembly sleeve onto the axle stub.
